PsyPAG is run by an elected committee of postgraduate students from a wide range of psychology disciplines. Elections for open positions are held at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which takes place at our conference in July.

Occasionally we have positions that come available throughout the year rather than in July. The process to elect new members for such roles are slightly different. A call for applications is sent out via our social media accounts as well as other communications, such as the psychology research JISCmail list. All applications are reviewed by the committee where an individual is co-opted at the quarterly committee meeting.

To be eligible to apply to become a PsyPAG representative, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Candidates must be enrolled on a postgraduate course at a UK institution.
  2. Candidates must have at least 6 months left of their course.
  3. As of July 2021, all PsyPAG committee members will need to be British Psychological Society members. If you are not a current member at the time of applying, if you are offered a committee role, you will be expected to register within 1 month.

Please note that candidates are required to submit evidence of their studentship along with their application. We will only accept applications from candidates who fit this criteria.

For further information regarding one of our vacant positions, feel free to contact the current representative or alternatively the vice-chair. If you are interested in applying for a position please review our information sheet and complete an application form.
