Fran Knight
I’m a first year PhD student at Goldsmiths College, researching within the InfantLab. My special interest is in Developmental Neuroscience, specifically the development of body representations evoked by touch. I am particularly excited about the possibility of performing research into Somatosensory Mismatch Negativity in infants in my second year.
I am interested in the role as London and the Home Counties Branch representative, as I want to help make the area’s postgraduate community an exciting and accessible one. I went to a ‘Psychologies in the Pub’ night, the fascinating topic was on the fMRI study of Beat-boxing. Open and interested discussion ensued and struck me as an excellent way to exchange ideas. I aim to organise more events such as these.
