Amy Fielden

I am a Doctoral Researcher and part-time Lecturer within the Division of Psychology at Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. My PhD research looks aAmy Fieldent behaviour change motivation in relation to obesity and the potential role of technology in facilitating motivational techniques. I am using a pragmatic mixed methods framework although my main interest lies in Qualitative research methods I am becoming more interested in the application of mixed methods. I have been involved in teaching qualitative research methods since 2008, and I am currently teaching qualitative research methods at PG level and within the UG programme.

I am fortunate that PsyPAG and QMiP have a long running and well established working relationship. The section is particularly keen to encourage PG members and to help develop and encourage the use of qualitative methods amongst the next generation of researchers. Please contact me if you have any queries or questions for myself or the QMiP committee, by emailing me at a.fielden@northumbria.ac.uk
