I am a full-time PhD student at Loughborough University and my research is focused on developing preventative interventions for posttraumatic stress disorder, aimed specifically at military personnel.
I completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology with Ergonomics in 2011 at Loughborough University. Following this I worked in various mental health services in different roles, but mainly within primary care and completed a PGCERT to become a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
After working for a few years I decided to get back to studying and completed an MSc degree in Psychological Research Methods at Leicester University. This sparked my interest in mental health research and led me to apply for a PhD!
I am really excited to represent postgraduate students within the Crisis, Trauma and Disaster section. If you have any queries, issues or ideas you would like to raise with me then please feel free to contact me via email (D.Hett@lboro.ac.uk).
