Hello! I’m Elaine, a second year PhD researcher at Liverpool John Moores University, and I’m the PsyPAG representative for the Psychology of Education Section of the BPS.
My research explores the topic of test anxiety and cognitive bias. The aim of this research is to help gain a deeper understanding of cognitive bias, both in terms of the mechanisms of this and of its relationship with test anxiety, and in turn to develop interventions to help reduce this anxiety in young people.
I am excited to be a part of PsyPAG committee to represent postgraduates interested in the psychology of education, and welcome you to get in touch with any queries, issues, or ideas you would like to discuss.
You can contact me by email: E.M.Coxon@2017.LJMU.ac.uk.
I look forward to hearing from you!
