Ellen Ridley

Hi, I’m Ellen, the PsyPAG Rep for the Developmental Section and PhD student in the Centre for Developmental Disorders at Durham University. Prior to my PhD, I studied at Newcastle University (BSc Psychology) and Durham University (MA Research Methods in Developmental Psychology). I spent a few years gaining research experience with children as a Research Assistant on two grant funded projects at Durham and Sheffield Universities.
My research interests lie primarily in social behaviour and mental health in neurodevelopmental disorders. My PhD research (funded by the Baily Thomas Charitable Trust) aims to understand social vulnerability in children with Autism and Williams syndrome. You can read more about my background and current research here
I joined the PsyPAG committee in August 2019. I am keen to ensure that we hear and address the views of the developmental postgraduate community! I sit on the Developmental Section committee meetings so I can raise any concerns or suggestions you may have.
