Hannah Slack

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am a 1st-year ESRC-funded PhD student at the University of Nottingham. My PhD research is on the development of sense of agency across adolescence. Sense of Agency refers to our awareness of our own authorship over our actions and the consequences of those actions. This applies to both the more higher-order inference/reasoning level of awareness and the lower-order, subconscious, sensory feedback level of awareness. My project will focus on constructing computational models to predict the trajectory at which this ability develops as individuals move through adolescence.

I have previously studied BSc Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience and MSc Psychology Research Methods at the University of Nottingham. My research interests include neurological development, mental health, AI/technology, and just about anything in between!

I can’t wait to read your submissions to the Quarterly! Please feel free to contact me via email (hannah.slack@nottingham.ac.uk) or on Twitter @HannahRSlack.
