I’m a PhD student at the University of Manchester researching how Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) works to prevent relapse in people who are currently in remission from depression. This involves carrying out neuropsychological and questionnaire assessments before and after MBCT with follow-up of all participants for the following twelve months to identify predictors of relapse. I am also a trainee Mindfulness teacher having trained with the University of Bangor.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Kent in 2009 and my MSc at the University of Liverpool in 2010. Before developing my PhD idea, I worked as a research assistant on a clinical trial for the University of Manchester.
I’m looking forward to representing this section and if you have any ideas or queries you want to put forward, do get in touch. You can contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or through twitter @katewilliams26.
