Hi all! My name is Lizzie Collins, and I’m a second year PhD student at Stirling University. I’m really excited to take on the Scottish Branch rep position and my inbox is always open for anyone who has questions, ideas, problems, or simply fancies a chat – you can find me at firstname.lastname@example.org or on Twitter @Lizzie_Psych I’m excited to try and create stronger networks between Scottish universities and identify and promote opportunities for students who are all over Scotland, including the islands.
I’m a meta-researcher with an MRes in Research Methods, and I’m now examining new trends in statistics in psychology for my PhD (mostly power, effect sizes and confidence intervals). I’m also really interested in learning and teaching statistics, novel methods and technologies, and open science, and am always available to chat about any of these things. I run the PhD Women Scotland blog, so if you are female-identifying or non-binary and want to write a guest post, let me know!
