I’m a full-time PhD student at Birmingham City University. My research focuses on the role of peer group affiliation and identity in the sexual behaviour of men who have sex with men (MSM), and explores how ideas of ‘risky’ sexual behaviour can be challenged by understanding the ways in which ‘risk’ is conceptualised and negotiated within MSM peer groups. After my undergraduate degree in Art History at the University of York, I completed a Graduate Conversion Diploma in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University, and an MSc in Psychological Research Methods at the University of Cumbria.
I’m really looking forward to representing psychology of sexualities postgrads, so please do get in touch if there is anything I can help you with! You can find me on Twitter @PrcNaomi, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
