Natalie Lancer

I am a part-time PhD student at Birkbeck, University of London. My research explores how undergraduates experience personal growth at university whilst having coaching sessions throughout one or two academic years. I am interested in how personal growth may be enhanced by coaching sessions and I have investigated this using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.
I am an accredited coach and a member of the Association for Coaching. I have had my own coaching practice ( for seven years and I have co-authored a book on Coaching Techniques with David Clutterbuck and David Megginson – Lancer, N., Clutterbuck, D. and Megginson, D. (2016). Techniques for coaching and mentoring (2nd edn). Oxford: Routledge

My role on the PsyPAG committee is to represent postgraduates on the BPS Special Group for Coaching Psychology and inform them of workshops, conferences and events. Feel free to email me with your queries and suggestions on
