Hello! I’m Ramona, a postgraduate researcher at The University of Buckingham.
My research programme is investigating teachers’ understanding of science, in particular astronomy, and the relationship with cognitive and affective factors. The aim is to provide a model of factors that explain their knowledge of astronomy and express the conceptual framework of science teachers’ competencies.
Prior to starting this research, I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at The University of Buckingham, and my final year project was on children’ understanding of science.
As PsyPAG Division of Developmental and Educational Child Psychology representative, my main aim will be to cooperate with BPS’s Developmental, Educational and Child Psychology Sections, in order to provide up-to-date information, resources and guidelines to postgraduates to help them understand the general principles of Developmental and Educational Child Psychology.
