PsyPAG are offering travel bursaries of up to £50 to support postgraduates with travel costs to attend events relevant to their research, training or future career plans. As with our conference bursaries, our travel bursary scheme comprises of three rounds – for your application to be considered you should complete the application form by 10th February, 10th June or 10th October. You will be notified as to the outcome of your application for a travel bursary within 4-6 weeks.
Criteria
Those eligible to apply for a PsyPAG travel bursary must:
- be registered at a UK institution. Please note we cannot accept applications from those awaiting registration. If you are planning to attend an event just after registration, you should consider applying for the next round retrospectively.
- be attending a UK event e.g. workshops, public lectures, networking events, but NOT conferences. For assistance with attending a conference, check out our conference bursary scheme.
- be willing to write an article for our publication.
A few tips
Successful applications demonstrate:
- the relevance of the event to the applicant’s research, training or career plan
- what will be gained from attending the event
- that the amount of funding applied for is fully justified
- the other sources of funding which have been explored
Remember
If you are successful in your application, you will need to present receipts as proof of travel costs incurred. So hold onto these until you hear back from the Bursary Sub-Committee.
