Hi everyone! I’m Zy, PsyPAG representative for the Psychology of Sexualities Section.
My primary research interest is in LGBT+ psychology, particularly in understanding anti-LGBT+ prejudice and its impact on LGBT+ identity development and well-being. My PhD project involves a mixed-method, cross-cultural comparative campus climate study on LGBT+ university students in the Philippines and the UK. Itspecifically focuses on understanding anti-LGBT+ prejudice in order to improve LGBT+ inclusion in higher education.
As a University of Glasgow Future World Changer, I advocate for LGBT+ inclusion and equality. Outside of academia, I serve as one of the See Me Proud LGBT Community Champions and co-founder of the Rainbow Glasgaroos. As the PsyPAG representative for the Psychology of Sexualities Section, I want to provide a solid voice for promoting the interests of postgraduates and early career researchers working in the field of LGBT+ psychology. Please feel free to get in touch with me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also follow me on Twitter @evangelista_zy.
